Mimoh Chakraborty, the son of Bollywood legend Mithun Chakraborty, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Salman Khan and Karan Johar for their significant contributions to his career during a time when the industry had turned its back on him.
Despite making his debut as a lead actor in 2008, Mimoh faced numerous challenges that prevented his career from taking off. However, it was the generosity and support of Salman Khan and Karan Johar that stood out among the industry bigwigs, offering a helping hand when it was most needed.
In an interview Mimoh candidly shared the struggles he encountered and admitted to seeking assistance from his parents to establish connections within the industry. While some individuals responded positively, it was Salman Khan and Karan Johar who went the extra mile to provide invaluable support.
Expressing his appreciation for Salman Khan, Mimoh shared, "Salman Bhai loves dad a lot, and whenever I message asking if I can meet him, he says, 'aaja, come over'. I go and chill with him, he sits with me, gives me a lot of good advice. I don't want to say how much (he's done for me), but he has done a lot for me. Unfortunately, those projects never kicked-off…"
Acknowledging Karan Johar's impact, Mimoh continued, "Karan Johar has gone out of his way to help me and Namashi, my brother. He has introduced me to so many people, connected me with so many people and agencies. These two have really gone out of their way, but the rest is up to destiny."
Despite the setbacks he faced after his debut film, Jimmy, received a tepid response, Mimoh persevered and appeared in the commercially successful film Haunted 3D. However, the film failed to provide the breakthrough he had hoped for in his career.
Mimoh's story underscores the significance of having a strong support system in an industry as competitive as Bollywood, where success can be elusive. Salman Khan and Karan Johar's unwavering support and guidance during Mimoh's challenging times have been instrumental in shaping his journey.
As Mimoh continues his pursuit of success, he remains grateful for the opportunities and connections provided by these industry veterans. He was recently seen in 'Jogira Sara Ra Ra' in a supporting role alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Neha Sharma.
