Superstar Rajinikanth is all set to make a grand return to the silver screen after a hiatus of two years with his latest movie, 'Jailer.' The anticipation surrounding the film has reached unprecedented heights, with advance bookings already raking in a staggering Rs 19 crore before its much-awaited release on August 10.
The fervor of Rajinikanth's fandom transcends geographical boundaries; his global admirers have elevated their devotion to unparalleled levels. A viral video on social media showcased Rajinikanth admirers in Dallas participating in rituals often observed in India. They showered a larger-than-life banner of the superstar with 25 liters of milk and ignited firecrackers.
Back in India, this devotion takes different forms. In Madurai's Thiruparankundram Amman Temple, fans arranged a special prayer ceremony, offering the unique penance 'Man Soru' to seek the film's success. Rajinikanth's influence is evident, as offices in Chennai and Bengaluru have declared a holiday on August 10, gifting their employees with free tickets to witness the cinematic spectacle.
Beyond the anticipation, 'Jailer' boasts a stellar cast including Priyanka Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Jackie Shroff, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, and Vinayakan. Notably, the film features a charismatic extended cameo by the Malayalam icon Mohanlal.
Directed by Nelson and produced by Kalanithi Maran in association with Sun Pictures, 'Jailer' emerges as a collective labor of love and dedication. However, Rajinikanth, the driving force behind the project, will not be present at the premiere. As he departs for the Himalayas, he has entrusted his fans to experience the film and share their candid reviews and feedback.
