The romance king of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan is always in the buzz for his movies, looks, compassion for humanity, and his religiosity. One such example was witnessed recently, when after wrapping up the shooting of Raj Kumar Hirani’s ‘Dunki’ in Saudi Arabia, the superstar visited the holy shrine of Mecca to offer his prayers. Given his popularity, it is no surprise that pictures of his visit quickly went viral on social media.
In the pictures, Shah Rukh Khan sported white garment, a face mask standing in a queue. He performed Umrah wrapped up in holy clothes. As his pictures emerged on social media, his fans showered him with love. A fan wrote, “No doubt he is in every person’s heart.” Another fan wrote, “One just needs to see his interviews. The man has poise, grace and incredible charm. That is why he reigns over the entertainment industry.” ”
Shukran to Saudi Arabia Ministry of Culture: Shah Rukh Khan
Before his visit to Mecca, Shah Rukh Khan had posted a video thanking the Saudi government and the people for the hospitality. He also thanked the officials, and captioned it saying, “A very big Shukran to #SaudiArabiaMinistryOfCulture, the team and all who made this shoot schedule of #Dunki is so smooth…".
Dunki will be Shah Rukh’s first collaboration with director Rajkumar Hirani. It will be released next year along with SRK’s other major releases, Pathan and Jawan. He recently opened up about ‘Dunki’ and called it a ‘big journey. The superstar says, “In English, my film would be called Donkey. But the way a part of India pronounces the word, it is ‘Dunki’. The Punjabis say it as Dunki”
He also praised the director and singled out the writer Abhijat Joshi for a brilliant script. While not revealing much about the film, Shah Rukh said that it was a comedy film and that the film was a mix of comedy and other emotions. The film is shot in several countries and finally concludes in India. Shah Rukh will be seen opposite Tapsee Pannu in this entertainer.
