US House of Representative Shri Thanedar (D-IL) recently attended a Meet and Greet meeting in Boston, hosted by the President of the US India Security Council, Mr. Ramesh Vishwanath Kapur, at the Clay Oven restaurant in Lexington, MA. The event was supported by President Mr. Abhishek Singh and Vice President Mr. Sanjay Gohkale of the Federation of Indian Association, New England.
During the event, Mr. Kapur spoke about the importance of Indian-American elected officials and welcomed Congressman Thanedar to New England. He also expressed his interest in working with Congressman Thanedar to bring broadband access to the inncer cities across the US and mobilize the younger generation to get actively engaged in politics.
Congressman Thanedar shared his inspiring journey as an immigrant to the United States and his work in public service. The event was attended by prominent business and community leaders, as well as young high school students.
