Amazing news! Vedaant Madhavan, son of the talented actor R Madhavan and Sarita Birje, has made India proud once again. The young swimming sensation just dominated the Malaysian Invitational Age Group Swimming Championships 2023 in Kuala Lumpur, clinching a jaw-dropping five gold medals in the 50, 100, 200, 400, and 1500m events, and even set two personal bests along the way.
Announcing the news on social media, Vedaant's proud dad R Madhavan tweeted, "With God's grace and all your wishes Vedaant gets 5 golds for India (50, 100, 200, 400 & 1500m) with 2 PBs* at the Malaysian invitational age group championships 2023 held this weekend in Kuala Lumpur. Elated and very grateful. Thank you."
This isn't the first time that Vedaant has won big at a swimming tournament. In fact, he has won numerous medals over the past few years, including five gold and two silver medals at the Khelo India 2023 tournament held earlier this year, and a gold medal at the Danish Open in the 800m men freestyle swimming event last year.
In an interview with DD India last year, Vedaant had shared about the unwavering support he received from his parents. "He (R Madhavan) is in a different country but he is staying up late to watch my every race. It’s amazing how even though they are not here physically, they’re always looking after me. Both my mom and dad put so much effort to see me swim,” he said.
Jay-Ho! The Jay Kumar Show congratulates Vedaant and his superstar parents R Madhavan and Sarita Birje. It's raining gold in India, and Vedaant just added five more to the mix with his incredible performance. We can't wait to see what other gold-drenched adventures lie ahead for this talented athlete. Keep making waves, Vedaant!
